No Budget, No Pay Act
Patriotic Sacrifice to Repair The Incentives in Congress
What if Congress had to come together and do the hard work of balancing the budget as a prerequisite to receiving their pay.
There's a Senate Bill 950. Republican Mike Braun of Indiana and Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia introduced the non-partisan Bill.
The Bill is called "No Budget - No Pay".
If Congress does not pass a budget by October 1st of each year, Congress receives no salary until the budget passes.
Salary is not paid retroactively either.
Once it's done, it's done.
No pay until the budget is made.
It changes the incentive.
I think by changing the incentive, we can change the results
We can change the game.
